Family villa design in Sifnos

This unique summer villa is designed on a 6000sq.m. hillside land plot with stunning views over Vathy bay. Protected from the north winds and a perfect west orientation, the villa enjoys unobstructed sea views, magnificent sunsets, and easy access to the sandy beach in Vathy.

Positioned on the lower part of the plot, under an imposing natural rock that divides the plot in two distinct parts, the villa offers complete privacy from the road and a magnificent setting with the rock as an integral element of design.

Entering the plot from the road, a driveway leads to a wide parking area. A pathway then guides guests to a viewing point over the natural rock, where a stone paved staircase leads to the villa entrance. Before reaching the entrance, one can enjoy the view of the bay, framed by the building outline, creating a unique “live” painting.

The villa is designed over two levels with the upper level being the “entrance” level and the lower being the main level, with internal and external spaces and the pool area. A central covered veranda is placed at the heart of the villa overlooking the pool and Vathi bay. All spaces are positioned around this central patio.

The main house offers 4 bedrooms (2 at the main level and 2 at the upper level, with flexibility in their configuration, depending on the needs of the user. An extra guest house is an additional option, for owners that wish to offer their guests extra privacy and independence, placed just opposite of the main house at the upper level, with its own separate entrance.

The villa design has a modern approach, while respecting and incorporating traditional local architectural elements such as, solid stone walls, timber windows and timber dressed ceilings.
